std::thread is not yet available in TDM-GCC, and there is already a feature request for it.

Unfortunately, you cannot use shared libgcc alongside static libstdc++ in TDM-GCC, and libstdc++ does not yet build correctly as a shared library. So a shared libgcc will only currently work with C, not C++.
