If you change the plugins = ... line in your ~/.giFT/gift.conf file to "plugins = OpenFT" it should work fine. I will fix this problem once & forever in the next update soon.

the 0k gift.conf issue is a mystery to me.. I will recode that setup bit, not using a shell script.. It's been causing nothing but trouble so far..

Could be the giFT daemon download is corrupted, try to run a fresh install of GiftBoX & see if the daemon that one downloads works..

hmm, try to remove the ~/.giFT directory and start GiftBoX again.. Still a problem with setup apparantly. You can also try to edit the ~/.giFT/gift.conf file manually and change the plugins entry to "plugins = OpenFT".

Released a new version. Fixes some setup problems and uses the new, more scalable, giFT daemon. Enjoy :-)

don't think there's a network problem with you.. The OpenFT protocol is in transition to a new version, this causes these connection problems. New GiftBoX version coming soon..

The OpenFT protocol has been updated to version 0.9, the scalability problem has been solved in this new version. GiftBoX needs some updates as well, I'm working on 'em..

I think this problem is caused by the update to version 0.9 of OpenFT, a lot of the search nodes moved to this new version. GiftBoX needs some updates as well, I'm working on it. What might help for now is stopping the daemon, removing your ~/.giFT/OpenFT/nodes file and starting again.. Update coming soon though..
