For several years I've used AndroMDA for similar purpose to what Taylor is designed for. Lately I've used the EJB3 cartridge to generate entities, session beans and seam actions from class diagrams. However, I've not used the other cartridges that generate frontend from activity diagrams.
However, I feel that AndroMDA has got stuck. Not much has happened the last years so I've started to look...

You need to do a few more steps. In your list above add:
1.1 Select Configuration from the menu
1.2 Change profile directories from .mp4live.d to webcam1.d
1.3 Change the other profile directory setting likewise
1.4 Save settings
I don't have a running mpeg4ip setup right now so I can't verify exactly the options.

I don't have a working installation of mp4live at the moment but as I recall there are two places where you can change the directory where mp4live store it's profile.
Ah, yes there is one more step. You have to copy the config file that mp4live creates and then start it with mp4live -f my.cfg.

You can change where each instance of mp4live store it's configuration files in the menu.
