Hi everybody.
I´m having trouble when exporting to Excel. I have columns in my report that are strings but starts with zero. Example: "0234", "0099", etc. When I export to Excel, those codes are transformed to "234" and "99" because Excel recognizes them as "General" format, not "Text" format. How can I force those fields (they are strings on my database) to be recognized as Text fields or, at...

Hi,
I´ve installed xls emitter 2.3.1 on BIRT 2.3.2. It´s working fine but I noticed that, when I have string values that start with zeros, those zeros are removed from the string when they are exported to Excel. For example, code "0A24" is shown as "A24", "0087" is shown as "87". I need those codes be shown as they are, with the zeros on the left.
Any suggestions?

I don´t know what happened but I stopped and started Tomcat (for the nth time..) and it´s working.
Now I´m facing another problem (maybe a bug?).
I had generated a report with columns that are strings and its contents are IDs with codes like, "00A2", "R445", "0003" and others. When I export to Excel, the above codes are shown as "A2", "R445" and "3", i.e., the zeros on the left are...

I´m using BIRT 2.3.2 and have recently downloaded and installed tribix xls-emitter-bin_2.3.1.zip and poi-3.2-FINAL-20081019.jar, proceeded as described in README file. It´s running perfectly on eclipse Report Design but I tried to do the same "installation" on BIRT Report Viewer with no success. I copied the tribix and POI files to "..\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\birt-viewer\WEB-INF\platform\plugins"...
