When watching movies or surfing on a browser (we assume
on virtual desktop 1), its annoying when there are
popping up windows from gaim (connection disconnected
popup; add-buddy-requests popup; when auto-reconnecting
the contact-list is moving on the active desktop; ...)
on the same virtual desktop. So when i launch gaim on
virtual desktop 2, it would be nice when the popups
opens on this...

I talked to James Ketrenos from this project a week ago and he mentioned the project should start this or next week.
By the way have you get it to work with ndiswrapper?
Seems to be there're some versions of ndiswrapper which should work. I tried some stable versions and the head versions from cvs and they behave differently on the driver. Looks very promising.
