Well considering Azureus all ready creates the files, then downloads them, I feel a little silly for having posted this. But, consider it an argument for keeping the file system the way it is.
Other bitTorrent clients, including Burst, create the file as it gos, and it really annoys me.

One of the first bitTorrent clients (the original) would create an entire file full of nothing but null characters, of the size of the file to be downloaded, and then actually download the file, filling in all the zeros with the actual data. Modern bitTorrent clients (including Azureus) instead build the file as it is downloaded.
