Just a heads up, I've also built Ubuntu packages for Intrepid and Hardy in that ppa repository. For those earlier versions of Ubuntu the mod to configure.ac was not needed.

after creating an animation, upon attempting to export, the dialog appears, the user clicks ok, but no file is created.
System: Ubuntu 9.04

You can point people to https://launchpad.net/~stochastic/+archive/ppa to download the package for Jaunty (9.04), but it's too late in the development cycle to get that officially into Jaunty. I'll keep my eye on here for the new releases and hopefully by the end of July (which will allow time to get through the package REVU process) you can have a 0.5 release for Karmic Koala (9.10).

Hmm, I'm not using an SVN checkout - if I have further troubles I'll try that and see if it fixes things.
The ffmpeg package version I'm compiling against right now is 3:0.svn20090303-1ubuntu4
here's the output of "pkg-config --cflags libavcodec libavformat libavutil libswscale" from the pbuilder environment that I'm running:

Hi, I'm in the process of building a source package for upload into Ubuntu's repositories, but I'm running into troubles with the ffmpeg configuration.
