Ok, here's how to do it:
***This is not a feature as it seems***
Removing RS02 data from an augmented ISO
1. Enter the file location in the appropiate text field in dvdisaster (Select a new image file.)
2. Then press the "Create" button.
3. dvdisaster will warn you that you are about to remove the ECC data. Hit OK and it will be done.
4. Either dvdisaster will immediately...

PS: Unfortunately, it's not freeware anymore. And the author has removed all old program versions. But you can still find the old program in online software collections. The feature set hasn't changed much anyway.

Hall Marcus.
Nice tool.
Just a note: "Opti Drive Control" (formerly known as "Nero CD-DVD Speed") has this feature, too. It even shows damaged but still readable sectors! Very nice for testing your backups for any upcoming data corruption.

It stores this bit pattern in the ISO file itself? IMHO that's a bad design choice. Rather have this information stored as meta data in the RS01 or RS02.

Ok, I found out what needs to be fixed here regarding the filetypes: Notepadd++ generously leaves us with a backup of the original file type handler name in the registry, it's called "Notepad++_backup" and it contains the former value for the "(Default)" key. All the deinstaller has to do is to use this backup in order to restore former handler name.
I hope this really gets fixed... :(.

Update: "nppcm.dll" residing in Notepad++'s program folder needs to be unregistered and deleted, too.

Notepad++ does not cleanly uninstall. File types are messy and they still have the type "Notepad++ Document", also icons are destroyed and not restored.
