Maybe it's a good idea to check your jump settings on your hard drives if they are PATA disk?

Thanks for sharing your experience.
Some comments here:
For (2), it's recommended to install "sysprep" on your windows, which is provided by MS, before you image the disk. Since Windows will give you BSOD if the hardware is different.
For (5), you can enter "expert mode", and choose "-k1" option.

And do you use GPT or MBR on that PC? I believe it's MBR, and it should be nothing to do with GPT. Maybe I am wrong since I never try to install a Mac OS on a PC.

Did you mean to save the image to or restore the image from /home/partimag?
Actually if it's writable, you can choose "skip", and Clonezilla will try to link /live/image/home/partimag (it's the dir on the USB flash drive, e.g.) to /home/partimag.

Based on that, could you please show us your dhcpd.conf?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe you can try to install "sysprep" from MS before you clone it to another disk.

"It seems that AAOs don't like booting off of flash drives bigger than 1GB cuz I tried the same thing with my roommates 2GB thumb drive and it wouldn't work." -> Not really... Here I have 2 GB flash drive, and I always test it on my AAO with Clonezilla live, no problem here.
