I'm glad this has been sorted out, thank you owen and everyone else who put time into it.
I not completely au fait with how the whole login thing works, so I wonder if someone could explain to me why, if I type https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox into firefox, or use a bookmark, or even if I right click a link to that address while viewing a page in konqueror and select 'open in firefox', it...

owenjm, unfortunately the latest version does not work here on fedora 10, while dlyongemallo's works as mentioned earlier :/.

Update didn't work for me either, in fact it wouldn't install (perhaps because mine was a fedora rpm initially installed with yum ??). The version pasted by dlyongemallo does work for me though, but still with the left click login issue.
