If you have a folder of mixed music types which you would like to put into a format suitable for portable media players and simple uPnP media servers (which may only support mp3), the following command almost does what you want:
pacpl --convertto mp3 --recusive --presdir --dir MixedOggsFlacsMp3 --outdir Mp3Only --xlevel standard --keep
The only downside is that it double stores your mp3s...
