  • "ZapZap" Bug

http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/hamburgerminion/images/zapzap.JPG I recently saw this while playing on Nexus 6. If you look in the picture I'm attaching, you'll notice that there is a beam of electricity coming out from the top of the screen. The beam appears from the top of the screen and then travels out and hits any aliens that were in proximity. It seemed to only occur when Tesla's...

  • Customizable Screen Flash

Somewhat simple. Basically, would it be possible to implement a variable that would be able to change the Screen Flash effect for things like getting hurt, picking up items, and so on? I'm not sure if this already exists, so I apologize. Such a variable would allow for some neat effects. There could be two variables, one for pickup flashes(PICKUP_FLASH) and pain flashes(PAIN_FLASH)...

  • Followup: One more thing

Sorry about the triple post, heh. There is one other thing that I've noticed. As far as I know, when all Commander Keens are killed in a level, it will affect any line with number 666, regardless of map or map number. However, the RTS Script for the Keen's only affects level 32. I remember reading this at Doomworld a long time ago, and I even found a thread describing the effect here...

  • Followup: RE: Two odd problems

Upon looking at dmonfear.wad with XWE, I've noticed that the maps are GL based! I'm not sure what was used to create the maps, but they are not standard maps. Pretty much all the map info is preceded by the letters GL. This is probably what causes the textures to become screwed up.

  • Two odd problems

Alright, having played 1.29 RC3 for a while now, I've noticed two odd things. Actually, I've noticed the second thing I'm going to mention before, but never posted about it until now. The first problem is that Map 32 of the Doom 2 IWAD doesn't seem to play the right music. It just plays Map 31's music, which is the Wolfenstein theme. If you warp to Map 32 in any other port, the song is...

  • Comment: Berserk Power-Up can affect other weapons

Logged In: YES user_id=1152106 Basically, Lobo. You would also be able to choose which weapons were affected by the power-up, unlike the Quad Damage or the Berserk pack, which either power up all the weapons or just one(in Doom's case, the fist). Also, I noticed recently that the berserk pack now lasts the whole level rather than just until the red screen wears off like how it used to...

  • Comment: Seperate Definition Files for Heretic

Logged In: YES user_id=1152106 You're right Lobo, keeping everything in DDF files would be best, all you would need to do is have seperate sections inside the DDF file for the two games. The only thing I'm curious about is how EDGE will "know" or distinguish between Heretic and Doom files, and not confuse the two or load up Doom files in Heretic. I know someone will figure this out...
