Mike reports:
I tried to use a usb sound card today and was surprised to find I could check the box and get speech from it. But shortly after doing this Pulse went crazy and Orca started talking so fast you couldn't understand it. This was the problem earlier in pulse.
Rebooting took care of this, but the same thing happened when I tried this again. The next time I rebooted I just...

According to Halim Sahin, the Lucid Alpha CD asks for a password when booted live in a KVM virtual machine. I haven't tried this yet.

Mike has a laptop with no screen. It use to boot fine, but in Lucid Alpha, it wont boot unless an external monitor is attached. Also, laptop users want the ability to turn the screen off to save power. They use to be able to hit the key to turn on the external monitor, and the laptop monitor off. This no longer works unless there really is an external monitor.
