That's true and I thought about it. Unfortunately there is no good automatic solution because rst.el can't know whether the patch is in or not.
Would you recommend removing it again until the patch is included in the parsers?.

Another user solved this problem by setting
jit-lock-defer-time
to 0.25. By default this variable seems to be nil which probably causes the problem. Please try and tell me about your success. Then I'll consider doing a patch - though configuring other modes is probably a bad idea :-/ .

The Multiplatform is no longer maintained and has no active developer any more. Therefore there is no support for this project apart from the source code. If you want to pick up the project please drop a note on the mailing list.
