  • Comment: Bad sort order / SNV builds

bstr, If you've set everything to be case-sensitive, you shouldn't use the -I flag with fsdiff; that's the case-insensitive flag.

  • Fewer Unnecessary Uploads with Creatable Transcripts

When using fsdiff -C, files are always uploaded, regardless of the change. I'd like to see an option for fsdiff that would make it work more like fsdiff -A; files that need to be uploaded would be prefaced with a + and files that have merely changed attributes (say, modtime) would not. For instance, if we have this transcript: d ./foo 0755 183575 20 f...

  • Case-Preserving fsdiff for Case-Insensitive Filesystems

We have a rather weird setup in that our loadsets are case-insensitive, yet they're stored on case-sensitive filesystems on the servers. Every now and then, we'll run into the case where Apple or another vendor will change the case of a directory, which means that we wind up with transcripts like this: d ./foo/Bar f ./foo/bar/baz On lapply, clients can't access ./foo/bar/baz because on...

  • Comment: Can't replace dir with file

I'm starting to notice this more and more, specifically with Mac OS X applications replacing .nib directories with .nib files. Here's an example bit from upgrading Growl from 1.1.2 to 1.2: + f ./Library/PreferencePanes/Growl.prefPane/Contents/Resources/zh_TW.lproj/WebKitPrefs.nib 0664 0 0 1254196292 11623 26Nx/Xm2eD45MHdfH5UniWi/Zos= - f...
