In v3.8, journals/periodicals as 'collections' are automatically created when you create the first article in that journal. Currently, series are not collected separately but this will change in v4. while there are no collections of books (i.e. series in v3.8), books themselves can be collection in which book chapters are maintained.

Hi,
I think the file type detection in wikindx is quite basic and works on the extension. If the original file upload is not xxxx.pdf then you may well have this problem.

I disagree. A resource is not necessarily physical but even if it were, you caould argue that a wikindx resource still exists physically on some hard drive somewhere. 'reference', in English, is too restricting I feel to describe what a wikindx 'resource' is. You're absolutely right, a bibliography contains references (the pure citation) but, with each reference, wikindx also...
