My laptop (Debian binary) pcb starts with the layers swapped...
Deleting the .pcb configuration directory fixes this.

Very odd indeed the layer groups have been switched!
I'm willing to swear that I haven't changed them, not using
the preferences window anyway.
It seems I need to investigate how I managed to get them
swapped.

I used a Debian binary package...
Today I tried to compile and install the tar source archive
from sourceforge.
Untared the archive, ./configure, make, make install
Seems to behave like the binary package.
However I had some problems duplicating the bug when I
manually put two SMD resistors on a PCB.

There seems to be a bug with SMT/SMD components placed
on the solder side.
The rat lines seems to think that the pads are still on
the component side of the pcb.
"Auto enforce DRC clearance" also seems to believe that
the componet resides on the component side of the pcb.
The bug is easy to reproduce.
Just start PCB.
Put a SMT component on the pcb.
Move it to the solder side...
