I recently installed phpMyAdmin on a Fedora 11 system. My database is up and running. I can log into it from the command line and run queries. phpMyAdmin pretty stubbornly insists:
"phpMyAdmin - Error
#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)"
Does phpMyAdmin log anything anywhere? Any ideas where to begin...

Thanks a million again, John. That did it.
I agree 100% on the Drummond certification thing. Unfortunately, large retailers like Target and WalMart insist on it. *sigh*.

Well, desperation finally set in and I bit the bullet and spent a few intensive days figuring out how to get OpenAS2 up and running. First, I downloaded the newest version and made the same changes to the configuration and startup that I had made previously. Miracle of miracles, the server came up and ran.
