  • upgrading from .73 to .74

In trying to update from .73 to .74 I'm running into a lot of problems. First off, the way the mail messages are stored is completely different. With some messing around i got it to work in .74, it shows all my message names and subjects etc but not the actual message. When you click it gives that file error etc etc. Does anyone have a way to take care of this? Also, I figured I'd...

  • Followup: kernel panic on intel system

I installed it on my testbed here (old p4 acer) with no problems, but when i wanted to move to production it wouldn't install. Kept getting a kernel panic. During the install, all of a sudden it says kernel panic and shuts down. The machine is almost brand new, all hardware has been tested, and it's been running asterisk at home for months. Any ideas here?.

  • 2.8 intercom instructions not working

I've tried several instructions, including those found at voip.org to get the *.51 or the 9999 version of the intercom working on asterisk @ home 2.8. i've got the soundcard set up, and I made the proper changes. The first time I followed the intructions, my asterisk wouldn't start properly afterwards. So, I had to go ahead and restore from a backup. I noticed that most of the changes...

  • Importing issue: error 0?

After I try to do an import, which is mainly why I'm using the software, it gives me: Upload failed Error code: 0 I've tried it with different types of files, vcfs and csvs it's obviously something to do with not being able to upload the file because it happens almost instantly. I'm not a big php person, but I know that you need the proper permissions to create and mod files so I chmod'd...

  • Call Recording

I enabled the option to record my incoming and outgoing calls for quality control purposes, but where are these recordings at? I'm concerned that they're building up and aren't being erased in a time line. I stillhave't upgraded to 2.1 but I am today, is this improved in the new version?.

  • Followup: RE: Putting a Call On Hold....The saga contin

Guys: I just noticed that when you park a call with #70, it comes back after like 30 seconds. So, you park the call, the hang up, then about 30 seconds later the phone rings over and over again. I assume that this is so that you don't forget, and I've been on hold a lot of times where it sounds like they pick it up and place it back on hold quickly. I don't mind that happening, but I'd...

  • Followup: RE: Putting a Call On Hold....The saga contin

Guys: thanks so much for responding. Here's what happens when I use the Press Flash method: The caller is placed on hold, but the phone system phone gets a dial tone as tho it's ready to dial out a second number. It does place the caller on hold, but when I get the dialtone if I hang up the caller stays on hold BUT the phone system phone starts ringing over and over and it never stops. So,

  • Revieving Faxes....

I set my system up to recieve faxes. I changed it to SYSTEM and put my e-mail in. When I try to send a fax, it handshakes and the physical fax machine I'm using for testing says it's sending the fax. In my experience, the fax machine has to recieve confirmation that it's cool to send the fax before it starts transfering the data. Well, it transfers the data and then i get no e-mail. maybe...

  • Putting a Call On Hold....The saga continues

Guys: So how do you put a call on hold? I've got some great hold music on here, and I have no idea how to put a call on hold. We're a small system, 3 extensions, 2 pots lines so it's not like we're doing a whole lot of call transfering but when we do we hear the hold music. I would LOVE to be able to put people on hold, have them sit in hold until i pick up my extension again and have them...

  • Followup: RE: allowing users to sign up themselves

I'm trying to do the same, I'm running redhat 7.3 with all the same stuff as him. I would LIKE to do it with virtual users for security, but I'm willing to do it however it works. vpopmail handles adding virtual users, but does openwebmail work with virtual accounts or ONLY real system accounts? shiznit@savageweb.net asap.,... -SavageOne.
