I have tried to download that version multiple times. And installed 3.6.2221 as there was no other option. See attached. Install button disappears when clicked and the update wheel keeps running for hours and does nothing apparently.

I installed WiX last night on a machine that has never had WiX installed. From the time of the project creation, VS is popping up
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
errors with no apparent reason. Sometime's I'd be just editing the XML and sometimes, VS has just been idle.
I'm still able to work and build the projects.
