  • Comment: Submission and Approval of Events

don't know how this duplicated, but it did.

  • Submission and Approval of Events

In a lot of web based calendar systems, you are allowed to set up calendars with an administrator that approves submitted events before it appears on the shared calendar. I believe that DAViCal should also have comparable features. Since such an interface will probably not be supplied by the CalDAV clients, the best place for such an implementation would probably be the admin interface.

  • Post-Only Permissions

Would it be possible to allow "post-only" permissions so that users could post events to a shared calendar without having the ability to modify other events on said calendar? Although it would be logical to include, it is not necessary for the user to modify events they have already posted to a shared calendar, for our purposes.

  • Followup: Got the Password Wrong

It checks LDAP first and then falls back on the local DaviCal db in case of connection failure with LDAP. So it should pick up on a changed password. I'm not sure, however, if DaviCal updates it's local copy. I'll have to test this.

  • Followup: RE: Seeing Others Calendars With Sunbird

In Thunderbird w/ Lightning (0.7rc1), you can add people to invite from your address book. There is a table on the invite interface where Free/Busy time can be viewed, but I don't think Lightning knows how reference their calendars to display Free/Busy time. There is still no way to Browse what calendars are stored on the server. The server side of this functionality could probably be...

Yes, You have to enter the URL of the other calendar that you want to view. Double-check and make sure that the use has permissions to view/edit the other calendar. You have to set up relationships to interact with multiple calendars. Hmmm, I'm not sure how invites work with Sunbird as we are using the Thunderbird Lightning extension. With Lightning, however, it will compose an e-mail to...

Hello Cedric, I just began working with DaviCal again today, and I got LDAP authentication working, but I had to comment out the objectClass filter in the config. Is this the same problem that you were having when you fixed the parentheses? If so, thanks, I can get that part of the config working again. SAJ.

  • LDAP Support

Hello, I've been following this project for a few months now because I like the project's simplicity, and I have been reviewing open source CalDAV projects trying to find one to use in the school I work at. I was hoping that LDAP support would be coming soon. According to the project news, you've announced optional LDAP authentication, and I am wondering how to go about configuring this so...
