I think is important to note that there is no alternate way
(apart from typing) to insert a smiley. So if I hide the
formatting toolbar, I no longer can insert a smiley (unless
I remember how to type it).

I'll like to be able to specify a custom directory for
storing message/chat history (My Documents\Chats, for
example), so I can mantain my IM history(which is
currently the only thing I need to save if I reinstall
my computer. This will also allow for browsing the
message/chat history when offline.

Problem: If I'm using Liferea in "Condensed View" and
old post is updated in one of the feed, clicking "Next
Unread" displays that feed but I have to scroll down to
find the updated post.
Possible Solutions:
a) always display "updated" posts first.
b) "Next Unread" should automatically move the view so

top.
c) "Filter Read...

I forgot to correct this, gnome-icon-theme are basicly
gtk-icon-themes. The functionality is already porvided by
gtk+, it wont depend in any othe library, AFAIK.
Anyway, I started to look around the code to see how

hard. It could be coded in such a way that it could use the
icon-theme if present or...

I only removed %{_datadir}/%name because rpmbuild was
complaining about duplicate entries (for the css and opml
entries). I thought that it was better to be specific so i
removed the "parent" entry. Anyway, I understand what you
mean, here's the fixed patch.
I'm really surprise how many spec I've seen containing this bug.

Ok, using the feedlist.opml included here, enable Liferea
"Filter Feeds without Unread Headlines". For some reason
Liferea skips the Slashdot feed until its the only one left
and then it refuse to continue with the "Next Unread". If I
disable "Filter with Unread" it works fine.

It appears that this still happens under some circumstances,
I'll try to reproduce it.
