I have just installed FFdShow ver 1.0.5.1656 in my XP Pro SP2.
The installation proceeds fine in Administrator's account. Testing using Real Player 11 and Media Player 10 when running in Administrator account works fine and the FFDshow Audio and Video decoder tray icons are showing.

I have just put 1.0.3 into my VSTS and I am running in LUA and this does not really matter as far as this bug is concerned.
I have decided to put the v1.0.3 into this directory:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\MSEnvShared\Addins
as this will then make the addin available to all users.

At present, the "User Ext" edit box is of very limited length restricting the number of extensions to be specified.
For example, in .Net these files .config, .build etc are XML file and are almost impossible to specified them in the current implementation and would appreciate if this limit is lifted to a more practical limit.

grep -R --include=*.txt -P help *
It does not simply display/process the text file, it does not find the line in one of the text file in the sub-directory.
