  • Followup: RE: Very poor performance of ODFConverter/Mono

My last update for performance issue - I was able to compile ODFConverter to Linux for sources taken from http://download.go-oo.org/tstnvl/odf-converter/RPMS/i586/odf-converter-3.0-6.src.rpm. It has performance close to the case when to run Windows version on Linux with Mono. Now it is clear that the problem in Mono libraries (Mono.Xml.Xsl). It will try to ask questions on Mono forum.

Andrew, Can you point me on the place where to get ODFConverter project for Mono? I would try to compile it and check if it has better performance with external Mono than integrated one. I found sources here http://sourceforge.net/projects/odf-converter/files/Source%20Distribution/ and was able to compile them in Visual Studio. Is it the same for Mono or not? Regards, Roman.

  • Very poor performance of ODFConverter/Mono

Hi All, I checked the performance of DOCX -> ODT conversion of ODFConverter for Windows and Linux version and was unpleasantly surprised by significantly worse performance on Linux platform. I tested both platforms in VMware player on the same computer to have the same hardware. Linux version was taken from http://katana.oooninja.com/w/odf-converter-integrator/download...
