The .pjt file is nothing but a text file. You can open the .pjt file in a text editor like notepad. You can then manually create a fresh project in CCS by looking at the contents of the.pjt file.

A simple way to have more I/Os is to use an I2C based GPIO expander. e.g PCA9555.

MIDI synthesis could be done in different ways like wavetable, FM, physical modelling.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
DSPDAP2 has a Li-Ion battery with charging capability over USB (5V). This allows charging over a Laptop/PC and also by using a 5V DC adapter with suitably wired USB plug.
An LCD is absolutely fine since it improves the usability. However I personally feel that touch based navigation is not suitable for a portable music player.

Yes.. CF is more suited for high speed applications due to its higher bandwidth.
SD is more suitable for portable apps due to its smaller size.
DSPDAP2 (the new version) uses SD card. i'll be posting schematics and other details soon. Bare PCBs will also be available.
Is anyone interested in fully assembled DSPDAP2 ?
