Sorry, I didn't pick up on your post in June. However if I can be of any assistance in testing - or anything else - let me know. I'm not officially signed up to the project but would be happy to do so. I have a desktop with XP, Firebird 1.5 and Marathon 3, and a laptop with Vista, Firebird 2 and (as yet) no Marathon. I've been a Marathon user for (?) 8 years or so...

To confirm: problem solved. I downloaded and installed Marathon 3 today with no exceptions raised by AVG. Sorry to have flagged up what turned out to be a false positive.

Just to report back: I have checked this out with Grisoft and they confirm that this was a false positive. They say:

Hi,
Tried to install Marathon 3.0.1.0 this morning and the install failed with an error message about not being able to copy files. On closing the installer I immediately got a message from Grisoft AVG anti-virus about having detected a threat. I assume that it was AVG that obstructed the installation and prevented at least one file being copied. The relevant details from the AVG vault are as...
