Eventually I recently managed to solve the problem. I compared the issue with an issue I had with another program before, and managed to somehow "fix" it the same way.
What I did was just moving the "lmms" folder which was in my personnal folder (the "Cédric" one) to another one and change the paths accurately, in such a way that the paths wouldn't contain the "é" anymore.

(I was the one who posted this bug - I just forgot to log in before doing it)
Well, my non-partitioned hard disk is only a quarter full, so I guess this is not the cause of the problem.
