The latest kernel in Ubuntu 9.10 is 2.6.30, and it's bluetooth api has apparently changed causing xwii (a program that uses wiiuse) to be unable to connect. I'm latest version of wiiuse (0.12) and the latest version of xwii (2.8) and just won't connect. The cwiid library isn't affected by this and is still able to work.
