I was glad to see a new version available, since I wasn't able to fix the problem with exporting the notes. But even if the installation seems to go flawlessly, the new version will not open. The icon shows and bounces a few times and then simply disappears. I'm running Java 5.0 on Mac OSX 10.5.8. Am I doing something wrong? Is this happening to other people? Thanks in advance.

No luck! I attempted both things. As I said, there seems to be no java 1.6 for my model of macbook & using TextCite 1.2 made things the same but perhaps even worse--the toolbar actually disappeared, there was nothing to the right of the TextCite tab on the top left hand side. Anything else I might do? Do you know if I may be mistaken about the java update--although software update keeps...

I am still dealing with this. It seems there is no Java 1.6 for my Macbook with intel core duo, 32 bits--it says so in the notes to the OSX 10.5 Java Update 1. So, I will try the option of installing an earlier version of TextCite. I will let you know. Let me know if you think of something else I can do.
As an aside, I made the same mistake referred in the "all my citations...

Actually, I cannot see the preferences panel either. It is as if the elements were bigger than the dialog box, so I see some items, see parts of others and cannot select any; as if the elements spilled out of the window.

I have been running J2SE 5.0 (32 bit) the whole time. And no matter what I do, when I try to export I get an overextended, almost empty dialog box, which does not work, and when closed, the program quits. Anything else I can do? I could really use a print out of my notes, since I need to send a chapter to my adviser very soon. I will appreciate...

I have been using TextCite for a while and has been great help for my
research. The problem now is that I am unable to export any citations. As
soon as I choose export-PDF, a blank dialog box appears and the program
freezes, when I get the dialog to close the program closes as well. Same
thing with export to rtf, although in this case closing the dialog doesn't
automatically shut down...
