I don't know if this is really a bug report or feature request, but from a GUI point of view, it feels like a bug.
At the end of a "Backup Simulation", Areca shows a list (grid) with all the files (and respective file sizes) it will back up. The grid has two headers, "File" and "Size". I expected that clicking the "Size" header would sort the files by size, but nothing happens when I click...

A bit more info about my system and the problem:
- Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
- Intel Core 2 CPU T5500 @ 1.66GHz
- 2 GB RAM
I was trying to make a spherical panorama (360 x 180 degrees) from 36 images. Enblend always crashed when the panorama canvas size was 4500 x 2250 or higher, but it worked fine when I set it to 4000 x 2000 or less (TIFF output).

enblend: an exception occured
Mask is entirely black, but white image was not identified as redundant.
make: *** [hugin_fused.tif] Error 1.
