When compiling prboom 2.4.5 in slackware-current with
GL support, the compilation fails in the link step
saying it can't find libGLU. It's a matter of adding
LDFLAGS=-I/usr/X11R6/lib in the ./configure step, but
without it, it won't compile. I think the ./configure
script should detect the need to
add -I/usr/X11R6/lib.
