Please make the source build on OSX, for use within the extremely popular Adium, which uses libpurple.
Currently it does not pass "configure" with searches for intltool. I'm looking into this but am not familiar enough with the code or the process.
There is a useful Adium thread in the Forum with links on how this might be done, someone is also awaiting your help on build options.

Any further progress after a couple of months? I'm attempting this too but don't like my chances.
Would be even better if there were OSX installer packages ready for download - this is really beyond the average user who just wants to replace the MS client. I'll see if I can build one however fewli0 seems furthest ahead.
