  • Source Compiling on X64 WinXP

Howdy Everyone; Fistly, I have very strong background compiling code and drivers in Linux. What I was wondering is if I will have to recompile the source code from scratch in order to get to work under Windows XP X64 ? Secondly, is there open-source compilers for Win64 such as GCC ? or is the same 32 bit compiler used to compile under the X64 version of Windows. I did not see any...

  • webcam shooter ports ??

Hey All; Well I finally got the CVS (0.95b) version going on Mandriva 2006, but I had to disable SSL to get it working. Now I am just having problems getting the connection going. I have added 6890-6900 both udp/tcp, but it is still not working. Before I went up Mandriva 2006 it was working fine and going out through my modem fine, now suddenly it isn't. I am not running a firewall...

  • Followup: RE: TLS + AMD 64Bits = Problem

OS: Mandriva 2006 Power Pack Retail DVD (64 Bit). I was running the 2005 version of the same distro, also 64 bit and aMSN+Webcam plugin were all working fine. Then I did a fresh install of the 2006 distro, and now I am having the same problems as the above. I always do a complete installation, by manually ensuring that all packages are installed to avoid any discrepancies. If there are...

  • Followup: RE: GR-D72 and MDL 10.1

As a further note, this is the output when I run the command, with all the required modules manually loaded for testing. Do I have to manually create the file ? If so how do I do so ? mkdir: created directory `DVD_Home_Vid' ~/temp/dvdhomevid_0.1/DVD_Home_Vid ~/temp/dvdhomevid_0.1 mkdir: created directory `dv' ~/temp/dvdhomevid_0.1 raw1394 - failed to get handle: No such file or directory.

  • GR-D72 and MDL 10.1

How do I automatically get the firewire modules to load on startup ? I am trying to get my JVC GR-D72 to be detected automatically after plugging it into the computer. I didn't have the modules loading because I was not running any firewire devices. Thanks.

  • Followup: RE: atk.pc error

Howdy, I to am getting the same error. I am running MDL 10.1, webcam is a Logitec Cam Express, it does run using GnomeMeeting. The only thing I can think of is that we are still missing a package that it needs to complie properly. Going to search online for this package. It probably comes with the distro, but justs needs to be installed.

  • Request Installers for WineX

Great Job so far guys :) I have a request for 2 possible Installers, one being Ghost Recon, and it's AddOns, and the other being, Perhaps Half-Life and Opposing Force. Both do work in WineX3. I know Steam is out there , but it is buggy as hell, pretty much a hit and miss. I know these games work more reliably, natively using WineX. Cheers...:) - Relic2K http://mandrake101.no-ip.org/.

  • Followup: RE: PPD file on linuxprinting.org

Okay, I found the settings, they have changed in MDL 10, I had to activate Expert mode from the Options Menu, then once I had enabled that, I was able to go into Connection Type, and manually set it to /dev/null. Never fails ... things change with every new release :) My printer is at least attempting to print now. I still have to do some tweaking though.

Now are you talking Hardware/Printers/Cups settings via MCC in Mandrake or are you talking LPRing ? Did you use WebAdmin or Mandrake Control Center ? Sorry, I just don't have those configuration options as ROOT.

americasteam; How and where did you specify to CUPs to use the /dev/null ? Did you edit a file manually, I don't have anywhere in the CUPs options to do this, it is either /usb or paralell only for MDL 10. Any guidance would be greatful :)
