I compiled on a Debian sarge system superkarmaba 0.39 using
./configure --prefix=/opt/superkaramba-0.39
make
and got

I found that bid and ask are 0 on the vwd page,
that might apply only when the stock exchange is
closed.
This modification made VWD.pm working again for
me:

Firefox supports page prefetching. This is
particular usful in combination of cthumb when
firefox prefetches the next photo over a slow model
