The components are now released separately from the core framework, which is why they were not included in the 4.0 release. We are preparing to release the SQL persistor for some initial user testing, while the Berkeley one is still being reviewed. If you'd like to try either of them out then please let me know directly and I'll let you know how to get started.

I assume that you are referring to the project created from the archetype. The creation of the different modules allows for good separation, specifically for services that interact with the framework, so they are isolated from the domain model.
That said I am personally in the habit of placing all my services, factories and repositories in that module to logically separate them from the...
