I've been trying to create an XSLT sheet that will read in a CSV file, and convert it into XML. I'd like it to take the column names, make them lower case, replace the spaces with dashes, and use them as element names. For example:
The file is called "magicians.csv"
Date, First Name, Last Name, Phone Number
9/9/2008,"Harry","Houdini","001-555-9193"...

Providing programmatic access to the source is an interesting idea, but I suspect it wouldn't work out so well, simply because of the overhead it would demand. Most languages are now heavily optimized by their compilers, so the source they reported back to the user, might not resemble the original source. In order to report back messages based on the original source, wouldn't the executable have...

In the attached file, you'll find that some of the nodes under the branch "Alternative Discovery" have text that is smaller than most of the others. I have been unable to figure out why. I'm viewing the file on a windows machine running Windows XP, and the map is set to 75% zoom.

When you use the right-click menu to change the formatting of the line width of a node, none of the options is checked. It would help with user comprehension if the currently used line width was checked, and if the check was moved when the formatting was changed. While it might seem this is redundant, since you can see what line width is being used. It will help new users get a feel for what...

I have a map set up with 2 levels of nodes. The first level of nodes uses thick lines, the second level uses thin lines. When I create a new node on the second level by pressing Enter, I get a new node that uses a thick line, like it's parent, rather than like it's sibling. This is non-intuitive, since I expected the new node to copy the formatting of the node I was on when I hit Enter.

In FreeMind, when I click on the scroll bar itself, the map is scrolled one screen for each tick. That's fine, although it might be nice to have an option to have it scroll only 80%. If I click on the arrows at the end of the scroll bar, though, the map is moved very little, certainly less than a line of text. This makes scrolling over a large map awkward.

Is it possible there are other programs running that might be contributing to the problem? I know you probably checked that, but it never hurts to ask.

When I save and reload a map, the zoom factor is reset to 100%. This could be awkward if I was setting up a map for a presentation. It also runs contrary to expectations, since we save so much else about the state of the program and map when it was last saved.

At first, it might appear that this is unnecessary, since the note editor is at the bottom of the screen. But I think we should change that. Right now, we have a pop-up editor for editing the node itself, and a dedicated window for editing notes attached to the node. This seems backwards. If anything, the editor on the bottom should be for the node, since every node is edited.
It would be...

I would like to propose that another category be added to the Requests for Enhancements tracker, User Interface. I wanted to add a suggestion that we put a button for adding notes to a node on the toolbar, but couldn't really find the right category for it.
