What's happening?

Aptoncd crashes

I'm having a problem with aptoncd in that it crashes about midway through scanning the packages that are stored on my system. I'm using the AMD64 build of Ubuntu 8.10 on a HP nx6325 laptop. Laptop has a AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 cpu running at 1.6 GHz, 2GB ram installed, and a 500 GB hard drive. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but that hasn't helped. Any ideas?.

Major menu problems...

I have a major problem with KompoZer 0.7.10 on my Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 system. Everytime I try to use a menu item that opens a drop-down menu KompoZer crashes. It doesn't matter which menu I try it happens with all of them. View - Show Hide Format - Fonts Format - Size Format - Text Style Insert - Form ..and on and on... As it is now, I can't use this program at all. Any ideas on...
