Ok, I can't find the attach button, so I'll just post it inline. However, this patch still doesn't bring joy to the entire compile - it fixes test1 and test2, but not the minitest, which exercises the vacall mechanism. I think there are nontrivial changes needed to that function as well.

It's failing because Apple made a tweak to the ABI, always expecting the stack pointer to be 16-byte aligned (they use some SSE2 instructions to manipulate the stack inside the dyld helper functions). I've made a patch which pads out the stack with 3 extra 4-byte pushes when adding the env. Hopefully I'll be able to attach it to this bug, if I can figure out the attachment mechanism.

In preparation for the AFPL Ghostscript 8.0 release, Artifex
Software, Inc., and artofcode LLC are pleased to announce a "bug
bounty" program. Basically, for each bug you fix, you get $500. We
hope that this program will improve the quality of the 8.0 release,
increase community participation, and give a little something back to
the corps of volunteers who help with the Ghostscri.

The current developer release is 7.22. This release contains a number of pdfwrite fixes, particularly for incremental fonts. The DeviceN work was not ready for merge at the time of the release, so we expect it in the next.
The release is available from the usual SourceForge and Wisconson locations:

artofcode LLC and Artifex software are pleased to announce the 7.21 developer release of AFPL Ghostscript. This release, while a development snapshot, should be reasonably stable, thanks to our regression testing processes.
This is the last snapshot before the DeviceN integration, and also Peter's pdfwrite font copying improvements.
