As to the initial question by Joël: I use this feature in 2 projects.
I suggest not to commit that to the core yet, as there are some "trailing problems" that have not been solved, as I suppose:
1. there still is a minor problem in the elml:prev template. the link back...

For layout reasons, it is sometimes necessary to omit the lesson title (title=""). It that case, no browser window title (html head/title tag) is written by the transformation. Instead, navTitle could be put there, if present, or the course title as defined in config.xml, if not.
(I tried to suppress the title with CSS visibility=hidden, which does not work)

Yes, of course, an open source player would be preferable.

In the link text of popup boxes, the () brackets should be omitted if Bitte hier klicken, um die Lösung anzuzeigen. in config.xml is empty. (see attacted pic)
Background: This help text is not always necessary, e.g. if the popup is indicated by an icon.
