Workaround: add to the auto_id table for both naming policies.
So switching between naming policies is not a problem.

Obsolete term items sometimes (less then 50%) appear.
Although the Obsolete item will display the correct
number of obsolete items, the items themselves will not
be displayed under that node.
I have no idea why...

Right clicking on any node in the package viewer does
not display the context menu.

Switching package view mode (is_of part_of), of an
edited package, doesn't ask whether user wants to or
not save.
Current behavior, changes view mode and disregards any
changes made.
