They have released a 1.0.1 update, I downloaded it yesterday.
Have you tried it? Maybe it corrects the problem.

thanks for checking that. I found roughly the same kind of behavior..
So basically this implies that if you need to use XULRunner (for Linux and Mac OS X at least), and be sure that it will work reliably, don't assume that your users will have a compatible version.
This means shipping the correct version with the lib. Best thing would be to ship with 1.8.1.3 which is the one...

About the clipping issue, can you elaborate? Do you have any idea how to work this out? Or is it another SWT problem that depends on Eclipse.org?

Hi Chris,
actually when I talk about interacting with the JWebBrowser I was talking more about the JFlashPlayer and/or the JHTMLEditor.
This is using all the JARs from the latest 0.9.9preview (not SVN sources though) on Windows XP SP2 - Java 1.6.0_13
I can load a Flash, using load() but then I cannot call stop() pause() play() setVariable() or getVariable() if I set my XULRUNNER_HOME...

I just tried using MozillaInterfaces-1.9.jar (and MozillaGlue-1.9.jar) and it does the same: no scripting interactions. I was too easy ;-)
I guess you have to change the calls to the MozillaInterface in your code too to upgrade then?.

I just tried the 0.9.9preview and I see that you still use XULRunner 1.8 (=Firefox 2), would it be possible for the final release to upgrade to XULRunner 1.9 (= Firefox 3)?
I tried to use the JWebBrowser with XULRUNNER_HOME pointing to a XULRunner 1.9 install and if it does load, no interaction is available! But there are no Exception or anything that allow us to deduce that it...

I just wanted to say first that I love your library, this is master work!
The only big problem is Mac OS X compatibility. So I added my vote on Eclipse bugzilla and added a comment too, hopefully someone will take care of this? If the developer in charge is too busy, perhaps he could at least delegate to someone else and give some pointers on his "idea"...
