Great work, Frank! Import went smoothly, displayed an error message (I've been advised to post here :) and finished.
Now I've to figure how to create a bash script to launch WinUAE, but that's another story :)
Thanks for your work. I'm able to select, when starting jgamebase, between amiga and c64 databases; that's great !

Thanks for you help, Frank.
What you suspected has happened.
Database directory contained a space; I removed it, relaunched import, and passed first step.
But... it failed at third step. Which means I would be grateful if you could resurrect that poor toolbox, which could help me a lot.
I've no better idea, sadly!
Jean-Claude.

Can't import an amiga database especially made for Gamebase. Whenever I try to launch jgamebase (last release), it checks for databases, found the new one and display a java error on a new window : "Access import failed", when it is still at the stage 1/3 "Exporting to csv files" (on another window).
Additionnaly, clicking "ok" to get rid of this window error displays "Select gamebase to...

Hi Frank,
Much better! Everything works flawlessly.
Let me take the opportunity to congratulate you for the huge work made recently on jgamebase; there is no frontend on linux, and even if there is no competitor to jgamebase, you improved a lot your application! It is very useful to me.
Thanks :)

If I first change the file name (I mean, outside jGameBase) and then I try to change jGameBase's name to reflect the first change, jGameBase won't let to change it's internal name (cannot use neither "ctrl-g" or from menu name changing options). It doesn't launchat all the interface to do so.
In other words, jGameBase won't allow to modify a game's name if it cannot found the file as it has...

Nevermind. My bad, I wrongly plugged the landline : "phone" port instead of "line" one. I lost an entire night looking for a solution... sorry for wasting your time.
Say, since I have the opportunity to talk to you, may I ask for a feature? I would be delighted if gtk-efax could be linked to my thunderbird adresses. Instead of continuously updating what I do on efax to...

Hi,
I used to use my Etech Bullet E56k modem on a serial port (ttyS0 or ttyS1) with efax-gtk; I was very pleased with, whenever I worked on Ubuntu (any version) and Windows.
Since I switched to a brand new computer, I cannot use a serial port; the motherboard doesn't offer this option. Then, I connected the serial modem using an USB2Serial cable. The new device is called /dev/ttyUSB0, and...

I also tried the search option, getting all the confirmation messages. Actually, it was my first attempt. I filled the path (c:/ or e:/) because I had no luck with the automatic search.
I also uploaded a .jar file including the games (into programs folder), but I wasn't able to run jme c64 (was detected as beeing defective by my phone).

Thanks Joerg for the answer.
I already tried these tips with no luck. C:/, E:/, and so on. I tried to upload .d64, .g64, .t64, .prg and .p00 files, to create different folders, it has been all in vain.
