24. "please provide for a more configurable build system" so that one can specify different options for different compiler/linker versions not just different compilers/linkers (for example msvc 9.0 deprecates some options available in msvc 8.0 and also adds new ones)...

21. because of the size of the library (i'm always talking about the fwSignal library alone, over 200 megabytes for the release ltcg .lib) linking, with ltcg enabled, takes 'forever' (like +10 minutes on a 2,33 ghz dual core with 2gb or ram)...try to decouple it better...cut it down into...
