Thanks, yes it may be Windows related. But I do not know why, this happens only when I try to add smplayer.
By the way, if anyone is interested, I found a work around.
I installed the feeware OpenExpert here:
http://www.baxbex.com/openexpert.html
And it enables now to change the application associated with any file, and to add smplayer.

RSSBandit is an eye killer - litterally. Displayed font in the internal browser and feed item bodies is too small. This is an accessibility issue.
- support mouse wheel zoom, even when IE7 is installed
- add a "zoom to" button.

I would like to specify some sites, like www.dailymotion.com, to be ignored / removed from "Top Stories".

I thought about an idea that could improve several issues in RSSBandit. It would make search results more readable and would enable to display only unread feed items for better readability.
I suggest that you make the "Search Results" folder look just like any other folder in feed subscriptions. Then to display search results inside the initial structure of feed subscriptions.
In the...

Well, I have the same issue on 2 different computers (that is on all computers that I use, all using Windows XP). Besides, the problem that SMPlayer is not added to the program list after specifically pointing at smlayer.exe only occurs with SMPlayer.exe. I never had this for anyother software. Usually, the software name gets added to the list.

In Windows explorer, when I right click on a video file, "Open with", I cannot see "smplayer". This is fine, and happens all the time with other software. Then I select "Choose program". It does not show up in the list, so I go "browse" and select C:\Program Files\SMPlayer5-62\smplayer.exe (SMPlayer5-62 is the name I gave to the installation folder).
This returns to the "Open with" dialogue...

Could you make the rendering of Search results the same as the newspaper view?
- It makes the application nicer looking and more consistent, more seamless (what ever the feeds being looked at, the rendering is the same)
- Doing this, Search results can be used as "virtual folders" (example: "My favorite feeds" search folder)
This should not penalize performance as the newspaper view is...

Could you add in the newspaper view a small icon to delete the item. It should be located for each item in the newspaper view next to the enveloppe and flag icons. Clicking on it should remove the item from the list and seamlessly redraw the newspaper view.

I propose the following improved behaviour for the mousewheel:
- scrolling down the newspaper view with the mousewheel marks items read as there are being scrolled (no change, same as today).
- when the newspaper view reaches the bottom, further mouse scroll should be interpreted as "mark the next item read" until all items of the newspaper view are marked read
- one more downscroll...

Could you remove the enveloppe icons in the headline list view. These enveloppe icons are useless (read or unread items can be recognized with the color) and eat-up screen space.
