As our faq indicates, the broken links are due to the way we build the getting started pdf.

This is a good question. I don't think it was ever tried. But maybe you could adapt e.g. the MergeAction and the Merger for xml diffing?
Or probably it's better to see whether the MergeAction and the Merger can inspire you for writing your own diffing algorithm?
On the other hand, diffing is not trivial, so maybe better profit from real experience (i.e. select a tool that "buys"...

As we use Maven, we don't distribute this jar-file separately any more.
You have different options:
* Download the jar-files "by hand" from our maven repository under
http://el4.elca-services.ch/el4j/maven2repository/ch/elca/el4j/modules/
Take the latest versions from the directories with a "module-xml_merge-" prefix.
