The newest openSUSE (11.2) doesn't create an xorg.conf anymore, allowing X to automatically detect and configure devices on startup.
This makes xsetwacom fails if you use some commands: "xsetwacom list" outputs:
invalid escape %D found in path template

I thought PDF->XOJ conversion as creating an empty file (as you say) that refers to the PDF file only if the «--embed-pdf» option is not specified.
The more interesting thing is to specify --embed-pdf, and the result should be the same of doing «Annotate PDF» on an empty document checking the Embed file option.

Well, I think they should be "true/false". If I translated them, it was because I didn't understand these were configuration values.

I attach the patch that adds the Italian translation (apply with patch -p1).
If you haven't heard of it yet, I suggest you use TP (translationproject.org) for translations, as many GNU and GNOME apps do.

I think it would be useful to convert PDFXOJ from the command line.
I would add these syntaxes (only suggestions, to explain the idea):
xournal --convert-pdf file.pdf file.xoj [--embed-pdf]
xournal --convert-xoj file.xoj file.pdf
When these commands are executed, the GUI should not open.
The --embed-pdf option controls the inclusion of the PDF in the XOJ file.

Now that KDE4 is supported, it would be very useful to add an entry to the context menu, both for konqueror and dolphin, when using KDE4.
The konqueror context menu entry that was in KDE3 was good, just enable it under KDE4 and do a similar menu for dolphin.
