What's happening?

  • Comment: quick press of A button cause screen flickering in game

    During the intro, if you quick press A button to get text to appear instantly instead of appearing by letter, the top screen will flicker and image is affected (see right image at the point of quick press and left image when all text has appeared).   • /DELAYLOAD:wpcap.dll ignored warning compiling r3042

    This appeared after the change to WIFI_COM and removing wpcap.dll from the DELAYLOAD doesn't seem to affect games.

    tested on a clean r3042 (not my changed r3042) for Yoshi using auto frameskip (easy to verify because it runs < 60fps). core=1, fps low 30s-40 core=2, fps 40s (diff ~10-12fps) auto detection, fps 40s It seems normal and logical to me.

    tested on r3042 and core=1 has lower fps than core=2 while core=2 has same or better fps than auto detection - fixed.

    Thanks. You can ignore my sound report since it is always based on auto frameskip (sound is affected at 60fps) which you do not recommend. I can finally closed this issue.

Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow (P-method) - on clean r3034, moving the character around (jumping, attacking or standing still) and you there are instances where sound jerks occur or sound get distorted or slowdown - on my r3034 - r3007, (same scenario) there is no sound jerks or distortion or slowdown - changing just the buffersize to 8000 is sufficient for this game.     I will do it the next day and I think you want output comparison from a clean system and one that I change. Please note that I can no longer maintain perfect 60fps throughout for r3022 (certain points, it may drop to 58/59 depending on the games tested etc).
