  • Followup: RE: AMG Roadmap | Active? Future Updates? or EOD?

Hi Greg, I cannot speak for Adobe on the future of AMG but it was my company that created AMG (back in the AS2 days) for Adobe and I also supported this SourceForge project on an uncompensated basis for awhile (out of a sense of responsibility to the project). But I am unable to do so now (and they never asked me to do it in the first place) so alas this forum is largely a dead end for...

  • Followup: RE: Header Bar Picture - freezing

There is a known bug in the gallery code that causes the behavior that you are describing when an image is used for the gallery title. We will try and post a fix for this sometime in the next month. Patrick.

  • Followup: RE: Change Text Color with Background Color

I think that step 3 of this blog post: http://blog.bluefire.tv/?p=47#more-47 might help you. It describes how to to swap out the entire style.xml file that the gallery uses from a menu command. By using a new style file, you could change both the bgColor and textColor of the gallery. Hope it help, patrick.

  • Followup: RE: AMG freezing and malfunctioning -- Help

Hi Bill, glad you have been enjoying the gallery! This SourceForge site is dedicated to supporting the Flash source code of the gallery. From what you have described it sounds like the problems you are having are with Bridge and/or the AMG Bridge extension. Unfortunately I do not know much of anything about Bridge or its extensions. (We do Flash and Flex development here at Bluefire)...

  • Followup: RE: How to change the path for a gallery

OK, gotcha. That path has nothing to do with the Flash source code but would be a part of the Bridge add-on. And I am guessing that in order to change it you would need to hack the Bridge add-on files. -Now I understand that this could be impractical advice but from what I have seen I think it would be *possible*. The Bridge add-on seems to be largely implemented as javascipt-like...

  • Followup: RE: How to change the path for a gallery

Hi John, I am not sure what generated path you are referring to. Generate the gallery how? From Lightroom? By compiling the source? Unzipping the swf? The swf can live anywhere really, as long as it is pointing to the right resource files. Patrick.

  • Followup: RE: How to set the startup image in a gallery

Hi Chris, There is a bug in the AMG code that is causing this not to work. Sorry, mate. Unfortunately there is no eta on a fix at this time. Patrick.

  • Followup: RE: Galleries with "Collections" or categorie

Hi Dundy, Well, I think you should just go ahead and make those extra galleries so that Bridge makes the xml for you. Then you can rename the groups.xml files it makes and use them from within your master gallery with the menus options set up. Sure, you are making galleries that you will not be using but bits are recyclable so you are still being green. Patrick.

  • Followup: RE: Feedback and favourite options

Hi, Elements 5.0 does use AMG. As you have seen, the XML file does have some feedback flags in it however neither the .swf nor the source code support these features -so the xml is ignored. I would add a download link in SlideShow.as and use getURL() to implement it. But please understand that I cannot support your dev efforts any more than to say "cool feature, go get em" :)
