It is likely that user defined scale, and average period
will get implemented in a future release, along with as many
presets for both as needed.
Having up and down in seperate graphs with seperate scale is
an excellent suggestion, but is lowser on the priority list.
System uptime is also a good thing to have handy when
looking at totals, and I agree it...

gregork, that is one huge complicated tool. looks very good
though, for its purpose. I prefer to keep freemeter simple.
Things i wont be implementing are:
1) communication between freemeters running on different
computers on your LAN.
2) IP/port monitoring, since this requires actual packet
sniffing to be done. which means no LAN filtering, or...

With the desktop meter hidden, on my computers, it doesnt
show up in the alt+tab dialog. This is with the default
alt+tab dialog built into Windows XP (SP2). What version of
Windows are you using? and Have you maybe installed
something that changes its alt+tab behavior?

to elaborate further on my reasoning here, now that i have
some free time, the bug you are describing as 'severe
accuracy problem' is actually the way averages are supposed
to work. They have a period, the period of the averages in
freemeter is the amount of time displayed in the desktop graph.
So, what you are actually requesting here, is a way to set...

A bug somewhere that i havent found yet causes
freemeter to crash is some text string is more than 64
characters long, i am tracking this one down as soon as

You can see usage over the total time freemeter has been
running (but lose it when you shut it off) and hourly usage
for last 24 hours in the Utilities-> Totals log menu item.
Also, mieszko is working on exaclty the other features you
mentioned, Dialy,Monthly, etc permanent totals. i do not
have information on when he will be done with them, tho.

if your internet connections speed isnt in the list, suggest
a new preset, and i can add it into next release, however, a
user definable preset is difficult to implement the way
everything is put together, but i have always planned to try
and add this feature someday. Thanks for the suggestion.

displays, not a bug.
