• Mail parsing prob+soln (quoted names in logs)

    I ran into a problem that a lot of records were being dropped, and after further investigation, found that the problem was addresses that had quoted human-readable usernames like this: Jul 2 14:58:22 hostname sendmail[2200]: msgid: to="Lastname Firstname MI Title Organization" <username@example.com>, ctladdr=sender_username@example2.com (48/48), delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:00...

  • webmin bug? (ignores configfile location)

    Both v1.2 and v1.1 seem to ignore a user-specified configuration file location other than /etc/awstats. All config files were in /etc/opt/awstats, I entered that directory in the webmin module configuration, but none of the existing configuration files were displayed, and "Your user is allowed to view/edit config files into (or that are links to) /etc/awstats." was displayed in the...

  • Qmail/multilog -> awstats solution

    After a little bit of REGEXP wrangling, it appears that I've gotten a perl script to convert qmail's "usual" (per life-with-qmail) log format to play nicely with awstats' maillogconvert.pl expectations. No promises, your mileage may vary, etc, etc. Hopefully, this can make its way into the next awstats distribution, since it seems that a lot of folks are looking for the functionality.

  • Followup: RE: naming of output files

    Actually, there is ample documentation built in to the application. Just click on the "Help" tab, then the "Table of Contents" tab, and you'll see a line most of the way down entitled "Configuration (%) Switches". You state that your built-in doc tab doesn't work, so you must have configured/compiled the application incorrectly. Sounds like a required...

  • Followup: RE: Different dirs for rip/enc doesn't work

    Mike let me know that this was due to not using a specific command-line parameter while using bladeenc. I knew I'd been lazy in not getting lame on the system, so that solved it, or you could use that clp with Grip (which I cannot remember right now, but is in the bug report tracker somewhere).

  • Arbitrary SQL interfacing

    I used DDJ for quite some time, but have started working on a new project that would essentially be a music server that would sit in a stereo cluster and interface to the TV, etc. I'd like to use grip for the 'add music from cd' part of the system, but would need a hack to make it insert music to the database since the schema is very different. Is there any demand for having a config tab...

  • Followup: RE: download awstats.pl

    Your web server is apparently not configured to handle .pl files as cgi scripts. Research the AddHandler directive for apache configuration, which should solve your problem.

  • Comment: Rip/enc into diff dirs doesn't work

    Logged In: YES user_id=15372 Sure thing - still gives me the same behavior. The only thing that I've found different than above is that the mp3 file in the encode target dir is just an empty file with an ID3 tag. Same behavior otherwise, and it's been so long since I'd opened this bug, I may have not checked the actual content. My current .grip file is attached now...
